Arbor acquired Bradshaw in October of 2008. We were attracted to Bradshaw because of its exceptional senior management team, its dominant niche position in the supermarket kitchen tools category and its longstanding blue-chip customer base. Arbor’s was selected over comparable bids because of our nuanced grasp of Bradshaw’s unique brand-agnostic, supermarket-focused strategy, our retailer knowledge and relationships, and an Arbor management philosophy that aligned well with Bradshaw’s.
Over the past four years, we have worked with Bradshaw’s management team to significantly expand distribution in all core categories, create a flexible debt structure, move to a web-based EDI platform and complete a comprehensive strategic plan for the home cleaning products division. Together, we were able to nearly double EBITDA in just over three years. Today the company is well positioned for continued success.
