Arbor Investments (“Arbor”), a specialized private equity firm that focuses exclusively on investing in the food and beverage industry, announced today three Partner promotions and expansion of the firm’s New York office footprint.
J. David Foster, Chief Financial Officer, Jason Booth, General Counsel, and Alison Miller, Chief Marketing Officer have each been promoted to Partner. All three are members of Arbor’s Functional Discipline Team of in-house executives and based in Chicago.

Foster joined Arbor in 2001 and serves as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer, responsible for fund financial operations, transaction support and portfolio company oversight. Prior to Arbor, Foster worked for Arthur Andersen LLP. A Certified Public Accountant, Foster received a BS in Accounting from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
Booth joined Arbor in 2013 as General Counsel and is responsible for all aspects of Arbor’s legal operations, including transaction execution, portfolio company oversight, risk management and regulatory compliance. Prior to Arbor, Booth was focused on private equity fund and portfolio company representation while a Partner at DLA Piper LLP (U.S.) and Winston & Strawn, LLP. Booth received his JD from Harvard Law School where he graduated cum laude and a BS from Bradley University where he graduated summa cum laude.
Miller joined Arbor in 2018 as Chief Marketing Officer and is responsible for branding and marketing at Arbor portfolio companies and the firm. Prior to joining Arbor, Miller was Vice President of Marketing for the Chicago Cubs and previously held various Brand Manager roles at General Mills. Miller holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
In concert with Arbor’s fifth equity fund close last week, Arbor co-founder and CEO Gregory Purcell announced the firm is growing its footprint in New York. Arbor first opened its Manhattan office in 2016 and will be relocating to expanded office space at 712 Fifth Avenue.
