Dr. G’s Creations Rebrands to Dr. G’s Ingredients, Builds Out Leadership Team

ATHENS, GA – Dr. G’s Creations (or the “Company”), a leader in functional ingredients, flavors, marinades and coating systems for proteins, announced today the rebranding of the Company to Dr. G’s Ingredients. Effective immediately, the updated branding marks a new chapter in the Company’s evolution. The Company is supported by its strategic partner and majority owner, Arbor Investments.

Established in 2008, Dr. G’s Ingredients has built a reputation as the go-to partner for innovative formulation development to make proteins better.  Working with some of the largest national chains and best-known brands in North America, Dr. G’s Ingredients develops custom offerings to help customers achieve their desired product texture, appearance and taste.

“By refining our name and modernizing our brand, we’re making it clear to the industry that it’s a new Dr. G’s”, stated CEO Robin Galloway.  “While we’re still rooted in the fundamental principles of food science, we’re elevating our game.  Dr. G’s Ingredients is on a mission to make protein better for our customers and ultimately for consumers.”

In addition to the new identity, Dr. G’s Ingredients recently made several strategic new hires, rounding out Galloway’s leadership team.

Christine Alvarado, PhD has joined as Chief Scientific Officer. Alvarado is regarded as an expert in the poultry, meat and egg processing industry. She was most recently the Director of Science and Innovation at natural food ingredient company Prosur Inc. Additionally, she has served as a spokesperson and subject matter expert to the USDA Food Safety Inspection Service. Over her career, Alvarado has worked in academia having taught at both Texas Tech and Texas A&M. She holds a B.S. in Biomedical Science and an M.S. and PhD in Food Science and Technology from Texas A&M.

Mike Cicatiello has joined as Chief Growth Officer. Cicatiello has extensive experience in foodservice sales from over 25+ years at Tyson Foods, focused primarily on restaurant chains in the QSR and Casual Dining channels. He has helped drive customer growth with menu development teams on innovation, LTOs and renovations. Prior to Tyson, Cicatiello spent several years at Campbells in various foodservice sales roles.

Jared Hillock has joined as Vice President of Supply Chain. Hillock previously was Director of Supply Chain at Arclin and held multiple roles in Operations, Demand and Supply Planning and Commercialization at the Clorox Company.

Elizabeth Sherwood has joined as Vice President of Finance. Sherwood most recently was at Harrison Poultry, Inc. where she led cross functional teams to implement new programs, oversaw forecasting and worked to improve enterprise value via process improvements.
